Report on the 4th International Workshop on Imaging Based Measures of Osteoarthritis. June 2nd to 4th 2010. Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Approximately 85 delegates from all corners of the globe came together for an enjoyable and insightful few days in Vancouver. The meeting was chaired and hosted by David Wilson and took place on the wonderfully well laid out University of British Columbia Campus.
This was the fourth in a series of annual workshops and thematically the focus was on imaging function. The meeting started a pre-course on joint mechanics providing some critical practical insights for the naive as well as the more experienced. There were a number of excellent invited review sessions as well as good calibre abstract presentations in both oral and poster form.
This meeting was characterized by tremendous opportunities for networking and social interaction at wonderful venues including the Museum of Anthropology at UBC.
The 5th Annual OA Imaging Workshop will be hosted by Frank Römer (Augsburg), Siegfried Trattnig (Vienna) and Felix Eckstein (Salzburg) and will be held from June 8-11th 2011, at the location of the first imaging workshop, in Salzburg.
