AVAILABILITY OF OA BIOMARKER SAMPLES
Serial samples of plasma (EDTA) and urine obtained from more than 400
volunteers who participated in the NIH-funded randomized placebo-controlled trial
of doxycycline in knee OA and from an additional 250 subjects in an NIH-supported
observational study of risk factors for the progression of knee OA are now housed at
Duke University under the auspices of Dr. Virginia Kraus, Director of the NIAMS
OA Biomarkers Network.
Investigators interested in obtaining aliquots of these samples and/or the accompanying clinical and radiographic data should contact Dr. Kraus (919-681- 6652, vbk@acpub.duke.edu) or Dr. Bernadette Tyree, Science Officer, NIAMS OA Biomarkers Network (301-594-5032, tyreeb@mail.nih.gov).
