OARSI Accepting Late Breaking Abstracts
CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF ‘HOT-OFF-THE-PRESS’ LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACTS
We are only a few weeks away from the 2007 World Congress on Osteoarthritis to be held in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA from December 6-9, 2007. This promises to be a landmark meeting for all those involved in basic, translational and clinical research with a larger number of podium and poster presentations accepted for presentation than at any previous scientific meeting on osteoarthritis.
Because of the pace of progress in research, the Program Committee is soliciting submission of a few genuinely 'hot-off-the-press' late breaking abstracts relating to research findings that are really important and which have only become available since the July deadline for abstract submission.
(Please note that as it will only be possible to accept one or two late-breaking abstracts for oral or poster presentations, submissions should be limited to findings that are truly critically important and timely. Examples might include novel results from a genome-wide association study or late- breaking results from a trial of a disease-modifying drug for osteoarthritis.)

If you have already submitted an abstract, your login and password are the same. If you have not visited this site before, you will be required to create a new user account.
Deadline for submission: Monday October 15th 2007
All submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed by experts from the Scientific Program Committee and authors of accepted late-breaking abstracts will be notified by Monday November 5th 2007.
Because of publishing/printing deadlines it will not be possible to include accepted late-breaking abstracts in the printed program or the issue of Osteoarthritis and Cartilage containing the congress abstracts but the abstracts will be accessible on-line via the OARSI website and a paper copy of accepted late-breaking abstracts will be included in the conference bag for all congress registrants.
