Ida K. Haugen, MD, PhD

Ida K. Haugen (MD, PhD) is a senior researcher at the Dept. of Rheumatology, Diakonhjemmet Hospital and lecturer at the University of Oslo (Norway). Her research is mainly focusing on clinical aspects of hand osteoarthritis (OA), including epidemiology, pain, patient-reported outcome measures, imaging and treatments. She has extensive experience in the assessment of hand OA on conventional radiographs as well as MRI, and has developed and validated MRI scoring systems for hand OA. She has several international collaborations using data from the Framingham study and the Osteoarthritis Initiative, and is member of the Applied Public-Private Research enabling OsteoArthritis Clinical Headway (APPROACH) consortium. She has experience in research supervision of medical students as well as PhD student.
