Kim Bennell

Prof Kim Bennell is a physiotherapist and a NHMRC Principal Research Fellow. She is Director of the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine and the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Translation of Research in Musculoskeletal Pain. Her research focuses on conservative non-drug management of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly osteoarthritis. She has conducted numerous clinical trials investigating the effectiveness of treatments including exercise, manual therapy, footwear, insoles and braces. Prof Bennell is on the Editorial Board of several journals including Osteoarthritis and Cartilage. She has a strong track record in early career research supervision and mentoring.
