In light of the WHO official declaration of a COVID 19 Pandemic, following the recommendations from the CDC and the WHO, the OARSI Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the 2020 World Congress scheduled for April 30-May 3, 2020 in Vienna, Austria. We will plan to host our 2024 World Congress in Vienna!
OARSI had planned to host 166 oral presentations, 697 posters, and over 1,200 attendees from all over the world. We wish to make it clear we are not considering the postponement of the 2020 Congress, but a full cancellation. However, we will explore alternative ways of disseminating the meaningful and insightful research planned for presentation.
All registration fees received by OARSI, to date, will be refunded without the imposition of a $75 service fee. If you have already received a registration refund, the $75 service fee will be returned to you shortly.
If you have already made a hotel reservation, please cancel it immediately, and be advised that refunds will be given by all OARSI hotel partners. Please note that OARSI is unable to take responsibility for hotel reservations made outside of the OARSI designated hotels.
We are very grateful to everyone who has worked so hard in preparation for this year’s World Congress, and we request your patience as we work to mitigate the impacts of this cancelation.
